Well you were right Art. I found several good dealers in my area and one is setting up a 3030 for me now. I just have a couple qestions for everyone out there, especially and B3030 owners. First, do you think I will need a block heater,winters here in Western NY get pretty cold and snowy, if so what should I pay? Second, can someone recommend a good box scraper,I have a TSC here and they have there brand and land pride, however dealer says buy woods they are much better? Third, anything I should be aware of with the B3030 as far as any possible problems or defects? I remember reading about some sort of vibration problem or something with some of them. Lastly,any recommendations for snow removal? I live on top of a mountain in snow country. I looked at the front mount snow blower but they are way to costly right now. Thanks everyone for all you help. I have learned a great deal from all you posts. Should be set up and take delivery in a few days as follows, B3030, FEL,drive on 72"mmm, and BH. Can't wait. John

I live in Snow country as well, I use my FEL for snow removal and for faster work of it, I use a Rear Blade and go backwards and push the Snow. It does NOT dig in that way and gets right down close, works great. I do miss my Sno blower, now I deal with banks and rocks on my lawn.

My uncle who lives in WNY has stored his L2250 outside for 20 years and never needed a block heater. ....

Over two thirds of ours go out without block heaters and I've had them starting down to 25 below without the block heaters plugged in. But I still prefer them! The box blade is just a big piece of metal and it has to be welded well. You might find a difference in the material of the shanks as well as the points that should be attached to them. Make sure the rear of the shank support is made well as that is the most common failing point. With a blower you eliminate banks so the wind has less effect on the snow in your yard. I'll take a blower over a blade or loader but yet feel a loader is more a year around tool. ....
